Summer Reading for Grown-Ups

Whether you’re 18 or 118 years of age, you can sign up to read and review books, participate in virtual library events, and earn a chance to win books.*
Summer Reading for Grown-Ups (SRG) is a free program to encourage adults to read and explore various virtual library programs and resources.

Earn virtual badges to win

Read & Review!
Read books in any format and submit an original mini review that includes your opinion and not just a summary. You may read a book, e-book, comic book, graphic novel, blogs, magazine articles, newspapers, or listen to an audiobook.

Each month the names of participants will be entered for a random drawing of a free book! These random drawings are based on how many original book reviews you submit. In other words, the more you read and review, the better your chances of winning a free book!

Family Fun!
An adult who registers for the Summer Reading for Grown-Ups with a youth participant who completes the Summer Reading Program will receive a free book.**

*HPL staff members are not eligible to participate in the 2020 SRG.
**Earned books may be picked up after Central and Neighborhood Libraries re-open.

The Summer Reading for Grown-ups is generously sponsored by the Houston Public Library Foundation.
